Why create one more blog?
This blog was born after conversations with some friends and family. These reflections made me think that this could be interesting both from a personal point of view as I will be able to keep some very beautiful memories in here but also given some useful tips to whoever might be thinking on doing a similar journey.
Why the name Cognitio Loci?
The name comes from connecting with locals. Every encounter with people in their own places — their loci — is an opportunity to learn, to share, and to carry a piece of their perspective forward. Cognitio Loci is about capturing those moments of knowledge, connection, and discovery.
What to expect here?
You’ll find a mix of personal reflections, cultural encounters, and practical insights collected along the way. Sometimes the posts will be stories about people and places, sometimes lessons learned, and sometimes tips that might help fellow travelers. Above all, expect authenticity: writing shaped by the journey, by curiosity, and by the people I meet. Ideally I will be posting weekly, or at least that is the target 🚀🙂
